HAY GUYS! *bricked*
So, the past few months, I have been terribly distracted by a lot of things. Among others, getting my computer fried, running out of sketchbooks, work project deadlines, organising social events and housekeeping while the boy was away. So now, computer is fixed (plus extra RAM!), bought two new sketchbooks, completed most of the pressing deadlines, birthday season is finally over in the house and the boy is back.
On the upside, I have been catching up on manga like WHOA! And discovering many new series with delicious art! I read the whole of currently released One Piece, caught up with DGM, Bleach, KHR, HxH among others. Added a whole slew of manga to my “following weekly/monthly” list, OMG. I also had a bit of an art block but by immersing myself in lovely art, it’s somewhat gone now with a minor shift in my own style.
Also, my SO gifted me an Intuos4 as a random present last week!! Uwah~ <3 It has been so much fun playing with it. I’ve never been a fan of drawing digitally because the pressure levels on my trusty Graphire3 couldn’t replicate pen(cil) and paper as accurately as I’d wish. Also, mapping of widescreen to the active area was a royal bitch. ANYWAYYY....will put up some of the stuff I’ve been doing soon!
For now, I spent most of the evening scanning and collating some sketches from the past weeks since I rarely put up sketches. So, here are some images which kinda sum up all I’ve done Jan-March.... orz...
The first picture, I did to record process and to try to get rid of my art block, so the style looks a bit off... It didn’t work, anyway. =( Also, I DLed OC and used it for the first time in 5 years! Wooo~ This was done with felt pen and coloured with my Graphire3.
Err, still in the middle of art block. Wanted a high fashion awkward pose. Was gonna ink it but err, got lazy. Did not solve my art block either, OMG. A4-sized, dirty pencil sketch.
Random sketches from here and there. Some studies, and style experimentation. I think I rarely put up sketches because I usually end up inking it. But I have been lacking in time, hence sudden glut of pencil scribbles. I don’t usually erase when sketching, so you can kinda see how I work and the order I go in based on which bits overlap!
ANYWAY, I have much to catch up on and comment! So away I go!! You guys have been posting liek awesome~ <3 (Also LOL, sudden HINABN craze. I read it a while ago linked from Nuu but didn’t realise it would get so popular... O__o;;)
