Handful of studies

handful-of-studies

… well, not quite.

I recently inherited an anatomy book from the bf. It’s more for biology but the pictures look good enough to help. Started with the hands, then lower arm (front and back), and upper arm. The last ones were better ’cause I think I was getting the hang of it. Shading was fun and this study had been educational.

time for a pop quiz?

Echoes of Echoes

09 Nov
echoes-of-echoes

Originally this was just going to be a quick sketch of some random guy sitting on the edge of a bed. And he was supposed to be clothed, but on changing my mind about where the pic was going, was too lazy to figure out the folds decided it would look more artsy without. Also, is a good way to distract people from my crappy sketches.

Drawn in OpenCanvas, and mostly done without references. As in, i sketched it without any reference, then realised i could/should use Pose Maniacs to check musculature, and did a bit.

Mirrored the sketch because it looks more like a finished piece that way without my lazy self having to put in any more effort, and then realised it was oddy appropriate, given the date (09/11/09) today. Is not quite palindromic, but close.

Sketchy sketch

Pose Maniacs is awesome. <3 Had a random mental pic i wanted to draw out yesterday, so it definitely came in handy. Unfortunately they didn’t have the exact pose i wanted; but there was one that was about halfway there, so i used it as reference and made educated guesses on the rest of it.

Anyway, enough blabber. Just a very loose sketch of one of my characters, done in OpenCanvas as per usual.
