I wanted to draw someone and Ann suggested Nimue.
I’ve had a few sketches of her from my train sketches but not scanned as of yet.
No references were used in the making of this artwork. D: Had to remember her outfit from memory! I think I got some parts wrong.

I’ve always wanted to do environments again, so I started with a sketch, followed by colouring in greyscale to work out the contrast I want. I didn’t want there to be harsh contrasts, so I used lots of midrange to light values.

And here’s the result that I’m not too happy with but it will work as a speedpaint practice. I think my hues need working to be brought out more.

Total time: 1.5 hours. The half hour there was spent on the colours.
More Hanna Is Not a Boy’s Name fanart, this time of Mrs. Hatch, Veser’s mother. There’s also a random drabble that popped into my head while sketching. Inspired by thelovemafia linking this Lee/Mrs. Hatch fanart comic, although the below is completely different in tone.
Anyway, drawn in SAI, edited in Photoshop. It’s really nothing special, but there you go XD

For what it’s worth, Lee Falun, I really am sorry. It’s nothing personal. You are a decent man, as far as humans go, and I have nothing against you. It’s all about him. It always is, is it not? You above all others should know this well. You are, after all, his ‘best friend’.
If it’s any consolation—had there been a choice—I would have chosen you over him. You are everything he is not. You are… sweet. Loyal. Eager to please. Trusting.
It makes you the ideal pawn for him.
And me.
But as I said, it’s nothing personal. You were just in the wrong company, at the wrong time. It happens to the best of us.
He took what is mine, and so, I shall take you from him.
The boy was a fool to ever think you could save either of us. You can’t even save yourself.
Today (well, yesterday, but didn’t actually get to it since Sims 3 distracted me) i randomly had a mental image of a character in a certain pose, from an extreme angle, and wanted to see if i could pull it off.
i don’t particularly like drawing random characters, so decided to try drawing a modern-day version of Merc from the Chaos webcomic Mae and i plan to do eventually. Don’t think it really looks like him, though. If anything it ended up looking more like a young!Worth <<;; OTL.
i know it’s not very obvious from his outfit who he’s supposed to be, and it was deliberate since i thought shoes with wing designs or a cauduceus would be too anvilicious even for me. It’s only hinted at by the shopping bags at his feet, and the fact that he’s standing at crossroads (being that Mercury/Hermes is pretty much the god of transactions, boundaries and the patron of merchants, amongst other things).

Edit: i updated the pic earlier, but it’s still showing the old one for me >> Might be my cache. Anyway, was just to add blue to the lines of the vest and to the tie. Also, i made a quick wallpaper version for my work comp: here.
